Treasure Chest Cake
This whimsical treasure chest cake was a hit for the birthday girl who loves coins and jewelry. The "chest" is made of 3 layers of buttermilk spice cake with cream cheese frosting. The "lid" is made of 2 halved 6" round cinnamon vanilla cakes with cream cheese frosting. Wooden dowels offer support to prop open the lid. Fondant pearls and accents are used and candy jewelry puts the finishing touch!
